Asking For Father, Male 55, Lahore
My father age 55 is recently diagnosed with diabetes. 20 days ago his HBA1C was 10.7 In the start his blood sugar was 400 MashAllah he after taking these medications 1)Galvus met 50/500 2) Empaa 10mg 3) Amyrl MSR 1/500 And with proper diet control and 40 mins of daily brisk walking his blood sugar in the morning is 110 to 104 from 3 days and before sleeping at night from 2 days he faced hypoglycemia. His blood sugar was 77 and he was feeling symptoms. Please tell whixh medication should we discontinue? We are so worried because of eid doctors arw not available please guide me.

Your father is having hypoglycemia because of poor diet plan. Do focus on episodically intermittent diet plan. He should take fruits or any other edible thing with low glycemic index within every 2hours a day. Don't discontinue any drug he is currently taking. His timings should be proper n fixed with good diabetic diet . Amaryl seems to be the main cause so for time being hold Amaryl After Eid finish you can get your father physically examined by an endocrinologist and Internal Medicine specialist .
stop using all these drugs only start with glucovance 2.5/500mg twice daily with proper diet plan mentioned already. For further useful information contact me online.

Better stop medicines and see a Endocrinologist/Medical Specialist after maintaining a record of Blood Sugar Levels for 3 days. Fast sugar in morning and Random after 2 hours of meal.
