My younger sister is an MBBS 3rd year student. she has pulsating pain sometimes burning localized pain on lateral side of right thigh from last one and half month. That doesn't relief by taking NSAIDs, she also tried icing over the affected area but didn't get relief. Sometimes she get worst pain at night while sleeping on right side. now, sometime she has pulsating like pain in the gluteal region also. Her weight is 41KG and height is 5.2 feet. please suggest some test/medication for this issue.
Assalamualaikum. This is a neurophysician case.
she must visit g.sirgeon to rule out any absess formation
can be musculoskeletal...need further assessment
This is typical of Myralgia parasthetica. You can try NASIDS like Brufen and Cap Gabica 50 mg twice daily for a week. Avoid tight clothing. Light exercise like walking may help. If symptoms don't improve, you can consult a neurologist.
