Asking for Other, Female, 65 years old, Karachi

My mother in law aged 65 had a stroke a couple of months ago. She is not able to speak or walk. she is awake but can not recognize anyone or anything. After 1 week of treatment she started to develop strange moaning or screaming constantly continuously throughout the day ever since (been more than 1.5 months now) how can we stop her from screaming/moaning in (pain)?

General Practitioner in Karachi - Dr. Shaima Amjad

hello.. she must be screaming due to some discomfort or pain.. make sure she doesn't have bed sores.. or urine infection.. due to which she might be in pain

General Practitioner in Wah Cantt - Dr. Nasir Mehmood Khan

i think that moaning does not indicate any pain , it may be related to her mental condition ..she may even does not realize it that she is moaning..so it does not need a treatment..in order to calm.her down you may give her some sedative .with your local doctors prescription
