1. Vitamin A, D, E and K can be stored in your body for a long time and should not be used for a long time. Multivitamin supplements are typically given for 3 months at a time.
2. Some vitamins, if used in access can have serious side effects. Vitamin A and D are typically notorious for that.
3. You should focus on Vitamins B Complex, as these are safe to use and are generally deficient in our diet.

These days, however due to Covid-19 situation, I recommend that everyone should take vitamin supplements, especially those with 20 mg zinc like Surbex Z, plus vitamin D capsule daily. Taking extra vitamin c is not necessary, as Surbex Z has 500 mg Vitamin C in it. Vitamin C and D are immune boosters and zinc has antiviral properties, so this combination is recommended for everyone while we are battling Covid-19.

You can take multivitamins for a maximum of six months and then see if there is any improvement. An excess of vitamins is bad for your body. There are no serious side effects reported as such for vitamins taken upto six months. Focus on B complex and iron mostly. Use MEXADERM for hair skin and nails, that helps. Your diet has to include healthy stuff because nothing can replace that long term.

General Practitioner in Karachi - Dr. Muhammad Salman Farrukh

Yes multivitamins are play an important role and have nutritional benefits but do remember they are to complement your diet not to replace it or as a substitute.
