Asking For Self, Male 55, Rawalpindi
I have sore throat/ tonsillitis since two months (it repeats at least 3 times in a year), used antibiotics inj Cefepime 2 g OD, 4 days inj Grasil 500 mg BD 4 days Gemifloxosacin 320 OD 7 days, but problem is still there. As I m 55 should I go for surgery. plz guide

so many antibiotics reduce ur immunity. Better consult ENT specialist. if u still hv pain while swallowing, take tab flagyl 400 mg 1+1 fr 5 days, Cap Ezium 20 mg 1 daily nite fr 14 days
usually if it happens for two years betrtogo for tonsillectomy but antibiotics course should be 5-7days if taken n ta ur age usually tonsillitis doesn't happen should take measures to prevent it or avoid fizzy drinks sour things like imli vinegar gol initially if u manage allergic one with good oral care .n antiallergiesn steam etc it Mouthe washes frequently ..u don't need surgery ..
