Respected doctors I want to know after how many weeks of gallbladder removal surgery (Lapchole), it is safe to take a long duration flight say 15 hours. Is there any risk involved?

There is no restriction in general. It is upto you when u feel ok to travel. The benefit of lap chole is that u go to ur regular daily activities sooner than open surgeries. It can b jst after 2 days or may be a week even

These risks n drain placement are patient based. They r not common at all. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is usually a safe procedure if patients don’t waste their time n get it done asap after the start of symptoms
