Talk to General Surgeon on Gallstone Pain
Asking for Self, Male, 54 years old, Karachi
After sever abdominal pain, I have been found gallstone recently max size is 15 mm, 11mm, 5 mm. Right now I am in China for education and will come Pakistan after 2.5 months. How long I can wait till surgery. Can I wait for 2.5 months?. I am avoiding fatty and oil foods per doctor advice. If any medicine can be advised, please do advise, I shall arrange from Pakistan. Thanks

I hope the pain has now been settled. Gallstone disease can get complicated any time. hence to predict the time period for which you will remain symptom free or chances of complication in a certain time is unpredictable. once it becomes symptomatic the only solution is to remove the gall bladder. However, as you are away from the home for study purpose you may take this risk for this period and get this surgery done as soon as are back.

since stones are small in size There is possibility of it to migrate in the CBD and can cause Jaundice or severe Pancreatitis which can be fatal therefore I will advise its treatment.
