Talk to General Surgeon on Pilonidal Scar Split/tear
Asking for Self, Male, 19 years old, Islamabad
I had a surgery for pilonidal sinus a few months ago and all of a sudden my scar split. I met my surgeon yesterday for a check up and he said it's normal and should heal on it's own but I have to give it sometime. Can you guys please advice me on what sort of medication or ointment might help me treat this tear? Thank you!

Well thanx for pic , u can use EUSOL solution initially and get dressing
done from it
This looks normal healing process don’t worry. Just do normal saline dressing. InshAllah it will heal gradually in about 3 wks
This should heal on its own without intervention.
