Talk to General Surgeon on Using IPL Laser For Hair Removal

Please tag any general surgeon. I had pilonidal sinus disease which i got surgically treated many years ago. I am now tired of continuously shaving the area between my buttocks. can i use an IPL laser device to permanently remove hair from that area? please help. Is it safe to use an IPL laser device in the area where there was a Pilonidal sinus?
