Talk to General / Diabetic on My Mother BP Issue
Asking For Mother, Female 62, Abbottabad
My mother was using Misar H for bp, not controlled her bp, changed her tablets to Avsar Plus & Carsel 50 at night, but due to Amlodopin in Avisar plus swelling started in her body again checked to medical specialist he changed Avisar to Co Telsan, but Co Telson again not showed it's strength. She again started Avisar, Plzz suggest me best dose for bp that not only control her bp but also not swell her body too. Thanks
Please share the blood pressure readings. Note these for 3 days, Twice daily and share. Also share her reports if done.
If not done previously, please do the following:
1. Lipid Profile
2. S. Creatinine
3. S. Potassium
Is she Diabetic too? Any other illness?

How much is her BP? Which medicine she takes in morning and which one at night? Any other illness like high blood sugar or asthma? Is she taking any painkillers? Any sleep disturbance? Share the lab reports if you have any. Medicine can b adjusted to control BP

Her age is 62, when little bp ups, pain starts on head, and neck.
She has anxiety too, history of 7 major surgeries including C Sections etc.
Dr Advised her tabs with composition of amlodopin but swelling in her body started.
again started above mentioned tabs.

what are other diseases with bp? and how is her overall health? and any tests available. you can book an online consultation or cone to clinic if live in Lahore. need detailed history and examination. and then medicine will be decided.

If she is old hypertensive pt. Need good evaluation of cardio pulmonary and Renal system and also see micro vascular changes.
For this she should go to one consultant who will assess and gradually control not only her B. P but other concomitant problems as well.
Please keep good record of her B. P atleast thrice a day. Visit good cardiologist with all the record and available investigations.
Do not frequently change medication without your consultant advise.
There are many groups of Antihypertensive drugs. Good consultant can find best for your patients.

last 3 Readings of her bp: 150/100, 120/70 after tablets, 140/90.
All the mentioned test were perfomed. Alhandulillah all are normal.
