For pure viral infection no antibiotics or dexamethasone is good. We only give antibiotics if symptoms not improving for 3-5 days.

if its viral infection, it ll go away in 7 to 10 days.
no its not good to take anything in addition to panadol, if fever is not going away you can take ibuprofen 4 hours after panadol becase there should be an 8 hour gap between two doses of panadol.
