Talk to Gynecologist on Delayed Periods

One of my friends had her periods on 5th August, and now it is 17th of September but she still has not got her periods. She took a pregnancy test on 13th of september but it was shown negative. She usually has her periods within 30-35 days, but sometimes it irregular. She last had a protective intercourse on 6th of September, when she expected her periods. She has thryoid medication and she is not consistent in taking the tablets, and she also has PCOD. What could be the reason behind the delayed periods, and is it possible that she is pregnant?
