I am 10 weeks pregnant and a recent urine analysis showed presence of glucose of more than 50mg/dl. I have been craving for sweet food from a couple of days and had a soft drink a night before the test. The analysis also showed bacterial infection. Can the glucose be due to the infection or my food intake or is it gestational diabetes? Can it harm my baby?
most probably it is urinary tract infection which is common in early pregnancy. for gestational diabetes you need to get blood tests done. it is called glucose tolerance test.
Plz get ur GTT done .. will rule out the gestational diabetes .. also UTI usually don’t wanna not cause glucose to be present in the urine .. so plz get it investigated and also go easy on the sugary food
