Asking for Other, Female, 11 years old, Karachi
Salam. My daughter age 11 started her periods on February 11. It is her first period. But its been 11 days and there is no sign of period stopping. What should I do? Is it safe to give medicine?
irregular cycles are common at extremes of ages
kindly get her examined by a consultant gynaecologist
also do a pelvic ultrasound
thyroid function tests
Wait for another week and then visit gynaecologist for evaluation. She may need hormonal medicine to stop bleeding. It may take a year to set the cycle naturally.
she can use medicine for stopping bleeding like transamine and ponston fort
Pl do blood cp now , PT blood test, giv her cap transamin r 500 mg three times for 5 days
Periods should be stopped
If they are not stopping then she needs treatment
After taking some details can say what should be done
