Talk to Gynecologist on Hydroxyprogesterone Medications
Asking For Wife, Female 27, Rawalpindi
Due to fear of miscarriage and weak pregnancy, gynaecologist prescribed Primolut Depot/ Gravibinan injection every week. However, I read that DRAP had banned Hydroxyprogesterone based inj/ medicine in 2023 due to being carcinogenic. Why are they still being prescribed?

no need to take above mentioned medicine.they will not strengthen the pregnancy.
Guidelines recommended no supportive role of progesterone unless u have history of threatened miscarriage previously
