Epidural injection have a side effect of long term back pain hence do not go for it during pregnancy. you can demand your gynaecologist to use TENS machine for pain relief or you can buy a personal tens and ask them to apply it during pregnancy it is not costly but effective way of managing pain. Also do pelvic floor strengthening exercises and 3rd trimester exercises for and easy normal delivery with least complications.
