Talk to Gynecologist on Low Blood Count (Hb)

person-avatar

Asking for Self, Female, 30 years old, Germany

Hello doctor, I am entering 2nd trimester of pregnancy. My Hb count is 6.6 g. Doctor prescribed me iron capsules twice a day. She said as you have time now this iron capsule will increase your Hb. Some of my relatives advice me to eat chicken liver as it’s a good source of iron and will help in increasing Hb. My question is that is it safe to eat chicken liver in pregnancy? At this Hb can I increase my Hb from iron capsules and by taking iron rich foods.
