Asking For Someone else, Husband, Male, 30 Years old, Karachi
My husband is covid positive more than 20 days now he went for test and it is positive again.here are his blood reports attached can any doc please tell that can he end his isolation now?
is there any symptoms? like fever , cough etc?
if there is no fever from last 3 days then he can end his isolation
. Keep in isolation until covid 19 test get negative.
PCR can be positive up to 40 days but after 9 days from the day one, (which starts from 1st. day symptoms starts) from the 10th day patient can live a normal life and there is no need of isolation.
its difficult question to answer Patient doesn't need to be in isolation if well asymptomatic and already has isolated 2 wks from his positive test.Test can some time stay positive for months you need to understand how PCR works if you have very minute trace or even mutated RNA trace in body test can amplify this so a positive test doesn't always mean actively reactive /infectious individual.
Hope this help
