I am preg with di/di twins...n diagnosed with placenta percreta..its my 29th week....what type of procedure do you suggest?or do you handle such cases
This problem is not being so uncommonly encountered during pregnancy especially in those patients with previous C sections.
You will be operated at around 38 weeks, in hospital where senior obstetrician, pediatrician, hematologist and anesthesiologist are usually present. You may require transfusion of blood and blood products.
The presence of senior staff would ensure best out come for you Insha Allah.
Do have regular antenatal check up
The
Placenta Percreta means placenta has invaded uterine wall. This hinders in removal of placenta after delivery of baby, so C/Section operation is required and is planned usually at 38 weeks of pregnancy. May lead to massive blood loss. Hospitals which deal with complex obstetric cases deal with it easily. Nothing to worry . Just go to hospital where facilities are sufficient especially blood bank. Wishing you and newborn good health.
