Asking For Wife, Female 21, Lahore Cantt
Seeking advice on managing high blood pressure during pregnancy.
My wife is currently 8 months and 2 weeks pregnant and experiencing high blood pressure. Her doctor prescribed Tab Aldomet (Methyldopa) twice daily. While her systolic pressure is under control, her diastolic pressure consistently ranges from 82-86 mmHg.
Our doctor's advice is to not miss any doses of medication; however, we're concerned about the persistently elevated diastolic readings.
Could anyone offer insights or suggestions on:
1. Potential risks associated with diastolic pressure in this range during pregnancy? 2. Additional lifestyle changes help to manage blood pressure? 3. When to seek further medical attention?
Any guidance or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Did she get her pih progile dione(blood tests) which will decide further prognosis. Secondly who asked you that diastolic of 80-86mmhg is raised??
This diastolic range is not significant, take medication on regular basis and home BP check, in case Bp increases any symptoms like headache persistent, blurring of vision, right side below rib pain or pain on stomach area then seek urgent medical care because these are the warning signs for fits, regular with ur dr regarding blood test and obs Doppler usg.
This diastolic bp is normal, good thing is that u are concerned so plzz go for Complete investigations of raised BP
