Talk to Gynecologist on Pregnancy Related

I have been married for three months, as the society we live in expect us to have a child in the first month, unfortunately my wife didn't miss her periods for the third month as well, so she is not expecting anything, So I wanted to ask that what is the best time to consult a gynaecologist for this issue, Because people say that the best time to consult a gynaecologist is when female is in her periods?
