home upt takes 2 weeks past last period date to accurately detect pregnancy, as BHCG hormone is released by the developing pregnancy into mothers blood stream and filtered via kidneys into the urine, 5 weeks bhcg concentration is not enough to be filtered into the urine and become detectable. If your BHCG test was positive then you are pregnant. u can repeat home urine test in a week again.
