Asking For Self, Female 34, Faisalabad
aoa dctrs, your kind guidance is required. i m 37 week pregnant according to lmp but 36 week in ultrasound. During manual pelvis examine my ob told me that i have small pelvis bone so i can't have normal delivery while rest of things are normal like placenta fundal, cephalic position etc. She prescribed me pelvis xrays for detail info. i m worried because i don't want to have this pelvis xrays as i heard it is harmful for baby and effect baby badly and it is said that there is no need of xrays for checking pelvis bone as it is enough to check it manually. plz tel me shoud i follow dctr advise and have pelvis bone xrays? isn't be harmful for my baby in future? waiting for ur replies..
I will not recommend you xray pelvis at all because of many reasons
1. It is obsolete
2. Although single xray in term baby not dangerous but not needed
3. Only course of labour can determine whether baby can deliver normally or via C/ sec.
Yes dear, in my opinion u dont need to go for Xray pelvis.. It's not recommended in latest guidelines.. Clinical pelvimetery/ assessment is best.. Gud luck
I will suggest you to get a second opinion from other obstetrician in ur vicinity. She will give you better opinion after her clinical assessment wether you are a candidate of trial of labour or directly cesarean. tc

Yes if everything normal and baby's movements also percieved well you can wait till labour starts but if you have any problem like leaking/bleeding/less baby movements better to report earlier
