Talk to Gynecologist on Spotting Instead Of Periods

Assalamualaikum, my wife has been going through her periodic cycle since 3 days but there is no bleeding. instead there is only a spot of blood on the sanitary pad. she is having back pain which is normal in her periods but this time it is severe than routine. please guide us about the problem.. thank you very much
