Asking For Wife, Female 25, karachi
In the previous case, an operation was performed due to no labor pain The patient feels. Can she have a normal delivery now?
yes depending on her previous records .if her scar .baby and her condition is normal till term than labour can b tried with 72 % success.
it needs patient assessment and risk awareness before having trial of labour, as previous surgery make u high risk for labour trial with understanding of all the pros and cons of normal labour with a scarred uterus, however this time no induction means starting of labour pains with artificial methods is recommended and not safe at all.
Its recomended to have a gap of atleast 3 year befor VBAC
Aoa. It's recommended that for safe vaginal delivery after c. Section minimum gap should be at least 18 months. As yours wife gap is 14 months so it's not wise decision to deliver her vaginally.
70 to 90% success rate of vaginal delivery after c section but minimum gap atleast 18 months to 2 years ...as we don't know reason of previous surgery overall assessment acc to condition with very low threshold for c section
she was induced last time ?
itsit is not recommended to have vaginal delivery with short interval from last c section due to risk of scar rupture during laboir.....but if interval is more than 18 months she can have trial of vaginal delivery provided she is aware that risk of scar rupture is there....and some times it may cause severe bleeding ,need blood transfusion, removal of uterus and risk to life of mother and baby...although these all risk are not high but it is right of lady to aware what can happen so she can choose her option accordingly
yes but after assessment by gynaecologist
Your gap is less then 18 month to 2 years.but after assessment of gynaecologist u can go for that.
if she goes into spontaneous labour at term and all other parameters are also normal then her gynaecologist can give her VBAC trial after discussing all prons and cons
