Talk to Gynecologist on Vulvovagina Itching
Asking for Sister, Female, 26 years old, Lahore
Pt complain of vulvovaginal itching which is extending towards anus aswell from last 1 week , she is a married woman, no children and is not on any contraceptives , she used topical antifungals but it irritated her skin so then she opted for oral antifungals , uptil now she has used 3 doses of diflucan 150 mg , itching has improved quite a lot but it has not gone completely specialy vulvar and anal itching , she is on day 3 of her periods currently. She was on antibiotic therapy day 3 when itching started

she needs physical check up by doctor..and seeing the lesions directly can add to findings,and it could be any inflammatory condition of vulva other than Infection..or if recurring infection it should be treated according to culture and sensitivity
If condition is improved with antifungal give her local application like Canestin vaginal cream and Tab Soften daily one

She stopped antibiotics. Than took 4 doses of diflucan 150 mg cap along with topical antifungal but there was no improvement. Than she was told to take flygyl she took it for 4-5 days and itching was gone. But 3 days after stopping flygyl , itching has started again
