Cramps Shivering Imbalance

Question

Can you plz post as annon on MARHAM as I have many relatives in this group I\'m 34 female married no children
On 6th may 
I took diflucan cap for yeast infection at 2pm 
At night around 8 I took rigix n went for tarave .. while going upstairs my legs started shaking badly n heart beat was fast too.. somehow I went inside masjid.. I thought it\'s due to weakness.. n read 8 travers bohat mushkil say khary ho ky ... them I went back n stairs nahi utari ja rahi thee ..legs seemed so stiff jaisy bend he nahi ho rahi theen.. trembling legs ky saath I went home ... phir tab say its second day I have severe cramps in my legs ... thighs are hurting badly.. in bath also while sitting it\'s so difficult.. cannot bend in namaz its hurting badly... i want ask you is it rigix side effect or something else.... still my legs are hurting badly .. n too much cramps... koi exercise nahi kee ya exertion ... phely kabhi aysa nahi huwa
I was taking lexotnil from few days  but I stopped taking  from 2nd may

Yes your suspicion is true. One of the side effects of Rigix is asthenia and malaise. Which means feeling of weakness and lehargy. Also it can cause numbness or tingling in legs and hands. So better to stop it and side effects will take a while to resolve after stopping the tablet.

Thank you so much dr I took for 3 days 6,7 and 8 may... but still my legs feel like jelly ..weakness.. no cramps after massage... should I go for any test ... should I wait for few days

Just wait for few days. If no improvement in after 3 or 4 days then consult a doctor.

I am sorry to know about the trouble you had few days back. How are you today?
After knowing your problems it looks like it may be because of withdrawal effect of Lexotonil. Since you were taking it and then you left it altogether, it can lead to shaking, shivering and cramps in the legs.
We call it benzodiazepine (lexotonil)withdrawal syndrome. Once you are taking sleeping pills like lexotonil your body gets used to it both physically and psychologically. Other symptoms of benzodiazepine withdrawal can be;
Anxiety, panic, insomnia (sleeplessness), sweating, headaches, muscle stiffness, spasm, poor concentration, palpitations etc.

It depends for how long you had been taking benzodiazepine and how suddenly you quit it.
May I please know for how long you we’re taking lexotonil and what for?
If you are still having all the symptoms you mention you must restart taking lexotonil at least at half the dose you used to take before and we can stop it slowly and gradually by tapering the dose over a period of few days to weeks.

I understand it must be difficult for you without kids. May I please know if you want to tell that have you got yourself and your husband checked for that?
