Fluid In Lungs Including Cancer Cells

Salam Everyone 
I\'m too worried for my mum as she is admitted in a well known hospital of Lahore from last 10 days and nothing diagnosed yet. Initially it was just breathing issue and coughing but after few tests they said its Pneumonia and injection course start, X-rays shows that there is fluid in lungs but when cytology done then it shows there is no any tuberculosis (TB). After struggle and multiple scans and test of that fluid it\'s diagnose that there are multiple cells of CANCER in fluid so they asked for complete body CT scan to find the cancereous organ but nothing found yet. Further investigation going on as there is no any past medical issue history.. Everything happen in few days..  
I\'m too worried for her, don\'t know what to do and where to go as symptoms are same as the day one.. Can\'t breathe, talk, eat and walk even She is in so much pain ????????????
Please help me where to go for further treatment.

Walikum salam. I think what u need is a talk in detail with a doctor whose under care is your mother. The test you shared showed cancerous process that has spread to lung. So diagnosis is cancer which has spread to lungs. Now the question is where is the cancer. Sometimes in many people it takes time to find where is the primary cancer with help of multiple investigations and relatives and patient himself need patience for the results. I know it is a worrying situation for you but i think doctors might already been trying to find answer to this question and one of best investigation is CT scan which they have already advised. Talking about pain and symptoms of your mother so there are lots of medications and also other ways to get control over these things so you should discuss it with your doctor. As it might be helpful taking some fluid out of her lungs to make her breathing better. But this could be done only by the doctor who knows the whole case and can examine your mother. So you should ask all these questions to primary doctor who is treating your mother in that hospital. Also next question will be treatment options of cancer so as it has spread that means it is already advanced. Your doctor might consult cancer specialist or oncologist after completing the investigations as they ask for primary cause. So my suggestions to you are
1. Ask the doctor who is treating about ways to control pain and other symptoms of your mother.
2. Wait for investigations including CT scan to complete so that underlying primary cancer is identified
3. U can ask your doctor when to take oncologist opinion
