Asking for Self, Male, 27 years old, Karachi
Good Evening!
Issue: There is an increase in bilirubin in my blood since last 2 months. I took the blood test 1.5 months back during my transfer in Italy and the total bilirubin level was 3.09. Now, I took the blood test 3 days back and the total bilirubin level is 2.41 with a very low difference and still more than twice the standard maximum.
Symptoms: insufficient sleep, weakness, stress, dehydration, lost of appetite
What I did: For the food intake I am using oil / ghee at the minimum since then. Also, hydrating myself with excess water.
I look forward for your valuable response at the earliest. Thank you.
PS: Kindly check the attached reports.
Dear after looking at your reports and knowing your symptoms it looks like you have a condition called Gilbert syndrome (a benign/non serious condition).
It is atleast reassuring for now. But I would like to ask few questions;
What symptoms were you having when you got these tests done in Italy?
Are you fasting these days?
Do you get yellow eyes or increased bilirubin ever before especially during Ramadan or when exerting a lot?
Have you every got your ultrasound abdome done?
Please let me reassure you that although the name of the disease is a bit difficult but it’s nothing to be worries about.
Keep yourself well hydrated and we will monitor your bilirubin levels initially monthly and then on three monthly basis. People dwell a normal and healthy life with this condition.
Please answer my questions and share your ultrasound abdomen report with me whenever ou feel like on zero three three three five five eight two eight nine two (watsapp)
Wish you health
Regards
