Asking for Self, Male, 42 years old, Khi
Salaam this is ali. I want to know about my lipid profile result. I had blood test last year and results were cholesterol 213, Triglycerides 177, HDL 39 and LDL 137. Now again I have blood test last week and results are cholesterol 185, Triglycerides 194, HDL 34 and LDL 126. Sometimes I feel heaviness on chest but don't know the reason why? when I walk I feel heaviness if it could be due to lack of exercise? as I am working in office and most of the time sitting. just want to know what should I do if this needs any further investigation?

Few questions need to ask. Do you ever smoke and if yes for how long and how many cigerettes a day. Also tell whether do u have any family history of heart problems if yes who had and what kind of heat issues.
Also tell do you feel short of breath and since how long have you been feeling this chest heaviness. Is it in centre of chest or whole chest? Do you have any heart burns or feeling of vomiting.
Any history of high blood pressure or diabetes?
Answer these questions then i will guide you further.

Thank you for attending. Yes I smoke but rarely once or twice a month but take tobacco pan once a day. No blood sugar. Yes my father had heart problem and by-pass surgery. My uncle and cousin also have same problem. Location of chest heaviness is below left shoulder but very sometimes.

Ok. So you have risk factors and also strong family hsitory. You should get investigations just to make sure that this heaviness is not related to your heart.
You should have exercise stress test initially. Abbreviation is EST. You can share the results once its done and if you find problems in getting this test as only few hospitals have facility of this. In that case i would suggest you to have coronary angiogram as outpatient. I would also advise you to stop tobacco use as it is a risk for heart problems.
