Asking for Other, Male, 30 years old, Lahore

My friend, a 30 years old male has essential HTN since age 15 along dyslipidemia, Blood pressure is well controlled by taking Lisinopril 20mg at night, Amlodipine 5mg at morning, Metorolol Tartrate 25mg Twice Daily & Loprin 75mg Twice weekly, But his Cholesterol remains under normal when he takes Atorvastatin 10mg daily, Whenever he stops Atorvastatin, his cholesterol goes beyond normal range despite avoiding fatty and sugary foods. he has taken the statin for 3 years regularly, and was stopped by physician because of muscle pain. After that He has taken Atorvastatin on and off. His RFT, LFT CBC and Blood Sugar tests are normal & Hep B & C negative. No Kidney or gallbladder stones, liver & Kidneys are normal in size but He has FATTY LIVER.

is there any long-term non-daily solution to keep cholesterol under control while avoiding the side-effects of daily-Atorvastatin?

It would be highly appreciated. thanks!

Thanks a lot for asking the question. As I mainly cover the surgical aspects of HPB and Liver Transplant, I will request you if you can please consult a gastroenterologist to rule out the Metabolic disorders.
