Talk to Nephrologist on Kidney Issue
Asking for Other, Female, 81 years old, Rawalpindi
Salam, please tag any nephrologist this is an urgency.
Today at early morning my grandmother had serious swelling in right leg as per general Dr recommendation we went to the emergency and the Dr. recommended the following tests RFT,ECG, CBC,Urine RE and asked us to see a urogolist in the evening.
Her RFT shows Creatinine (Serum) 1.61 eGFR 33 (she didn't have any kidney-related history) Someone has suggested a good nephrologist but he is not available today. I would like to ask should we wait or should we take her to any nearby nephrologist immediately. The swelling seems to be there her CRP came out 74.

Comorbid like diabetes hypertension, ischemic heart disease or any other?
Age?
Swelling unilateral mentioned? Is it bilateral?
Can I hav a look at other labs also? As crp high may b other labs give clue to infection? If it is unilateral swelling den hav u got doppler of lower leg done?

her crp was 75 she just have high blood pressure issues from many years. but she doesn't have any issue in kidneys or pain complaints. only yesterday it happened after right leg swelling. and this rft was suggested along with crp, blood cp, urine r/e , and echo. everything was fine just crp rft was abnormal. could you tell any other test we need and you where we can visit you along with the patient at what time as this thing is not about video consultation.
patient age is 85 last week her husband died and she just have high blood pressure and joints pain issue so she take pain killers along with bp medicine. thank you for your detailed response
