Studies have shown that steroids free regimen have more episodes of rejection. However steroids free regimen can be used provided
1. Your match was very good (like donor was sibling and there was 6/6 or 6/8 match).
2. You never had any rejection after transplant.
3. what was the primary disease leading to renal failure? In steroid responsive diseases you need to continue on steroids otherwise there are chances of recurrence of original disease in transplanted kidney.
So in short it is possible however need to look carefully all the factors before starting steroid free regimen.

please reduce steroids intake...

Steroids are always withdrawn gradually. Thats not the question here. You mentioned "get rid of all the drugs". One cannot get rid of all the drugs in transplant patient even if his/her transplanted kidney is failed due to risk of graft necrosis. We as a physician need to be very careful before making such statement as patient get wrong message. Leave this decision for transplant physician to look into all the factors i described previously and then decide.
