Asking for Wife, Female, 25 years old, multan
AoA. My wife is pregnant and yeasterday have an anomal scan and dr says this. fetal left kidney show mild hydronephrosis with dilated ureter traceable to fetal pelvis. kindly tell me what is the treatment and is it harmful for our baby.

Foetal hydronephrosis is not normal. However most can get better with time, depending upon how dilated the system is. Can you please share the measurements. It is recommended to perform an ultrasound scan after 48 hours of birth and see a paediatric Surgeon/ Paediatric Urologist. If you are in Lahore, you can come to see me and we can take it from there.
What about the fluid in uterus
If amniotic fluid is ok then the other kidney is performing fine and pregnancy may continue
Normally
But serial ultrasonography is helpful along with fetal chromosomal analysis
