Talk to Nephrologist on Nephrotic Syndrome FSGS
Asking for Self, Female, 33 years old, Lahore
I am fsgs patient since 2013. 1st time it got better with steroid course that I took for 7 to 9 months almost. Then after 2 years gap it returned again. From 2015 with 2 or 3 months intervals after leaving steroids it comes again. 5 relapses happened. Now again my report is not ok. What should I do? I gained so much weight because of continues treatment from 2015. Frequent relapses happening please help. Is there only steroid treatment we have?
Salam, no there are other treatment options as well, can you please share your latest Uce. 24 hour urinary protein, serum albumin and CBC reports , plus your initial renal biopsy report in which fsgs was diagnosed.

You should go for steroid sparing therapy like Rituximab if you are found clinically eligible.
