Talk to Nephrologist on Pain Right Kidney
Asking for Father, Male, 68 years old, Karachi
I have been having alot of pain at the back ,right kidney side . After having an ultrasound it showed bilateral mild increased renal parenchymal echogenicity. What is that mean? Does it need to further MRI test? The urine test and kidney functions are normal per lab reports.

no there is no need of further workup. renal cortical cyst are common in people. it could be age related. increase ecogenicity is only significant if correlate with renal functions otherwise not
