He experienced pain in lower flank posteriorly on left side on consulting physician in ultrasound he was diagnosed by a cyst in cortical region of size about 34×31mm Doctor indicated pain killers . Can you suggest is it worth to worry ?

Do urine r/e to look for microscopic hematuria..if normal then do 6 mnthly u/s to look for whether the cyst is increasing in size or not

cysts are mostly beningn meaning non cancerous unless they have septations . rarely they get infected and you need to treat them with medicines called fluoroquinolones which can be painful at times... also doing a urine analysis can give you clue if there is infection in the renal tract...
