Talk to Neuro Physician on Craniocervical Dystonia And Blepharospasm

person-avatar

Asking for Mother, Female, 47 years old, Peshawar

My mother is suffering from craniocervical dystonia and blepharospasm. We have been to well known neurologists in Peshawar. It's been 20 days since she's been diagnosed and she has been following medications namely baclofen 10mg, rivotril 0.5mg, nuberol forte, hexidyl 2mg and zoloft 50mg. 20 days into the medications and she is still shaking her head extremely violently towards her right shoulder. The head tremors are very severe. Along with the medications she is doing physical therapy also (heat therapy with hot pack) and massage with voltral emulgel 2%. But this therapy only provides relief for 2 hours at the most.

Will medications work and take time? Or do medications not work at all? If botox injections are a must. I want to know few things. Who is the most expert doctor for botox in Peshawar? Because most neurologists are not willing to go for botox treatment on patients. What is the success result of botox? Does patient feel like before (normal)? How long does botox work

Botox is safe. In this case it is must. Usually it last for 3 or 6 months then repeat injectuons are needed. But currently you have no option other than Botox.

I am a physical therapist and yes..heat therapy and gel will give the temporary relief..I can guide you "traction technique" to make your mother feel better and relieved .. it's easy and you can do at home even..slight traction will definitely be a pain reliever.
