Talk to Neuro Physician on Lower Back To Leg And Feet Pain

Assalam o Alaikum, Posting here for my mother. She is having severe pain ranging from her lower back to leg and feet. After seeing MRI films, the doctor has suggested surgery from L5 to S1. But we are worried due to her age factor, she is 61 now. Other symptoms include: Numbness in feet She is unable to move freely due to severe lower back and thigh pain. Previously, it was the left lower back and left leg and now it is the right lower back and right thigh. One of my friends has suggested having Epidural steroid injections instead of surgery. Medicines are not working anymore. Looking for expert guidance/opinion here and where can she have EDI in RWP/ISB? MRI report is attached.
