Hi I am experiencing muscle twitching in my thighs.. palpitation type twitching which gets worse when I am anxious. I am also on anti anxiety medicine. I am also experiencing very mild jerks which prevent me from going into deep sleep. Now other than anxiety I feel there are some nutritional deficiencies that are leading to this. It has started recently. Can you please tell me which tests such as magnesium, b12, electrolytes tests I should get done? The twitching happens anywhere from stomach to arms but mostly in thighs. Is it something to worry about? These twitches and sleep jerks are giving me more anxiety
kindly get serum calcium, phosphorus,Serum vitamin D3 levels.serum sodium and potassium levels.

Thank you.
Thanks for sharing ur concern. which medications are u using for anxiety as a few medications can also cause electrolyte imbalance leading to these symptoms. Apart from that do u fee bone pain ? abdominal or back pain ? involuntary cramps in ur calf muscles or painful folding of ur toes ? Any known kidney issues ? ? Kindly answer these to let know more about u before writing any tests.

None of the symptoms mentioned by you. Only mild jerks while sleeping and sometimes when awake. Like a mild jerk in the hand or leg or even chest. No bone pain or anything. I am taking brintillex 10mg. I am really worried if it’s the start of a serious disease. I already have health anxiety.

It’s been 4 weeks started at 2.5mg then moved to 10mg after every two three days. I am taking ciproxin for stomach infection these days. My third day on this. I had an anxiety attack on Saturday and since then I m getting these mild jerks when awake. Initially I thought it’s anxiety but then it’s not going away since 4-5 days. I have a feeling there’s a nutritional deficiency and perhaps the anxiety is worsening the trigger. I m taking b12, iron and magnesium too since a week.
