person-avatar

Asking for Self, Female, 22 years old, Islamabad

I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia 5 years back. pain was so bad and no medicine or pain killers seem to be effective. It was continuous pain for like 3 years and then i started on 1000mg of carbamezapine in 2020. From last 1 years there’s been no severe flare of pain just mild to moderate intensity flares once every 1-2 months. Now i am on 500mg carbamezapine per day. Should i discontinue carbamazepine?
