A unilateral ( one sided headache )is typical of migraine. However any physician that you consult would want to know more. For instance when did the headaches first start ( at what age?). Also what is the frequency of attacks. That means how often do you have an attack? Are the attacks connected to your periods? What is the duration of individual attack and how severe is it on a rating scale of 1 to 10? Also are there any prodromal ( warning) symptoms? Is an attack accompanied by nausea and vomiting? And what relieves an individual attack?
