I've been feeling a burning sensation in the skin for a few days now. It doesn't feel permanent and it gets more or less. I don't have any skin problems, but I suffer from a lot of stress, is it a symptom of MS? What is it if it is not

Only skin burning is not MS
Can be due to stress factor but needs evaluation

Helli,
Burning sensation over whole body is not related to MS, it may be some skin issue.
But it is ocaiized to one segment of the body, MS have to be ruled out.

I'm not a neurologist (but a neurosurgeon)..... With your these symptoms I would not think for MS unless these are associated with other cardinal signs and symptoms of MS or a strong family history afraids you. I suggest you to have vitamin B replacement (Neurobion) and observe them. Getting a blood test for sugar level and VIt B12 is far less invasive than to go through other tests targeting MS exclusion. Get in face to face consultation with any neurologist for detailed exam as well. Let me know if I be of any help in this regard.

Burning sensation which is not localised is not a recognized sign of a neurological disorder. You need to consult a physician not necessarily a neurologist who will take a detailed history, examine you, see what investigations he would like to do. But even then don’t hold your breath! There may very well be a deep seated psychological issue. If you like to consult me it would have to be by video on Marham as I am located in UK and don’t have a clinic in Pakistan.
