Stevia is safe for use in moderation. Secondly, yes it can cause some side effects in few individuals, not all in the longer run. Being health counsious, stevia shouldn't be your choice if not a diabetic. Use natural sugar source honey or shakkar 1-1.5 teaspoon per day which is healthy and safe at the same time.

Yes it's completely safe to use and a good alternative. But you need to take it in moderation.
Stevia is available in different forms in market. You can consume it accordingly.
* 1 tablet Stevia
* 2-3 Stevia Drops
* 1/4 tsp Stevia Powder
All these are equal to 1 tsp of sugar.
