Asking for Self, Male, 25 years old, Karachi
Salam, hope you all are doing great. I am a 25 year old male, I have always been skinny but I have been working out since last year and Allhamdulliah I have gained some healthy weight all by gyming and natural homemade diet and milkshake without any supplements or protein powder/shake. My weight before gym was 64 and now its 70kg but now its stuck at 70 kg for few months now. Few people including my gym trainer has advised me to take protein powder. My question is regarding the protein powder, is it safe to consume these protein powders or do they do any harm. Kindly explain in detail. Thanks in advance!
Know about the right dosage and right type according to you body composition. Protein powder isn't the only option you can have good food choices high in protein. Consult for detailed guidance.

take other healthy source of protein bcz longer use of any supplement is toxic...for further details book your appointment
protein powders are usually used in excessive gyming or in malnourished condition. so if your daily dietary intake is good you don't need it. stick to healthy diet, include nuts in your cereals, milkshakes for extra calories
I personally not prefer protein powder these artificial stuff not good for health. For balanced ideal body weight and customized diet book your appointment. Warm Regards, Registered Dietitian Saba Hussain.
walikom Asalam! may personally protein powder recommend nahi karonga! kun jab ap healthy han or ap sahi sy Food intake kar sakty han to you need proper diet plan! at that stage, in which you take full your Recommended calories! thanks!
Walaikum Assalam. Protein powders are usually recommended when a person is doing excessive gym exercise or he/she is an athlete. It's better to add protein rich foods in your diet. You can even make home made protein rich smoothies without adding any protein powder and take it as your pre or post workout snack. Excessive protein intake by taking both protein powder & dietary proteins together can damage heart & kidneys. For further consultation, you can book your appointment.
instead of taking protein powder u can go for protein rich food instead.
Any protein supplements do have side effects it usually stress/cause damage to kidney and liver functions.
Prrotein powders do have a side effect over your kidneys and liver but you can make your own protein powder by using diff ingredients high in protein.
Thankyou
It will be best to avail all nutrients from natural sources, protein powder might give u timely benefit but in the long term it will cause Heath issues...

It is safe to use protein powder but not in excess amount. You can fulfil more of your protein requirement from food sources.
