my mother has been cancer patient for last six months doctors can't take biopsy because ercp was not successful now doctors suggest for chemo.my question is that how much biopsy is important for chemo.

her cancer is at terminal stage. ercp was not successful ptc drain is inplaced.chemo without biopsy is helpful or not.
if it's radiologically evident and tumor markers are raised + it's actually not possible to undergo biopsy - then palliative chemotherapy can be started!
but only if there is no possibility of biopsy!
