Thank you
Assalamualikum-wa-Rehmatullah-e-wa-Barakatuhu
Kindly consider visiting any qualified Oncologist with all relevant record along with your father. Running from appropriate advice is never beneficial in the long run. Timely advice and prompt Workup always benefits the patient. There is no visible report attached, nor would it be advisable to make judgements based only on one report. Please visit an Oncologist that suits you and be open to his advice.
Best wishes
Allah apko apki family ko shifa Kamil day. Ameen.
Tubulovillous Adenoma With Focal High Grade Dysplasia.
If that is what is written in the above report (which I am not able to see), then it is a non cancerous growth which requires further follow up with repeat scope and biopsy as there is a risk for this growth to convert into a cancerous one.
Thank you
Assalam o Alaikum . I am unable to see the pathology report. Based upon the limited information available in your email as mentioned above : Tubulovillous add Nona with focal high grade dysplasia - it means that there is no cancer in the biopsy specimen but it’s a precancerous lesion which in future can convert to colon cancer. It does not require any further treatment now if the person who did colonoscopy is sure that he has removed the whole polyp. From screening point of view, your father will require repeat colonoscopy in 1 year. Other simple test practiced in UK is test stool sample for fecal occult blood x 3 samples 2 to 3 months apart and if test comes back positive, then to repeat colonoscopy. Hope that I am able to answer your Question. May Allah Tala give shifa to your father. Best wishes, Dr. Farhan Zahid
