Asking for Self, Male, 19 years old, Rawalpindi
I have had flat feet since birth, over time I started to experience pain in my feet when ever I did some physical exercises. Gradually the pain got worse and cramping started, at first in the calves and later on, it went to the arches. Only recently I took my case to orthopaedic, he prescribed a high arch support and was of the arches have severely fallen. Though the cramps decreased to none but mainly since I stopped exercises related to running as using the arch support itself is so painful.
I can see soft tissue popping on the inward side of my feet when I put pressure on it. Is this concerning, should I get a second opinion.
Poor nerve supply to feet results in a flat foot
Need to check your pelvic floor.
Flat feet are not a major health issue and you should modify your physical activity and maintain body weight but a consultation with your specialist would make you wise
flat feet are two types, one is natural built of your foot. usually don't disturb you.
other type is abnormality in bones in feet. which typically give trouble in teenage. for this type you might need surgery.
nerves don't cause flat feet.
insoles are also difficult to tolerate if bones are not flexible.
Hi, your feet needs to be examined for any surgical option. However you need to kept wearing foot wear till examined by orthopaedic surgeon. Thanks
