Asking for Self, Female, 30 years old, Karachi
m also a dentist, but i need orthopaedic guideline for my problem.. I find bone growth on the backside of my right hand small 3 bony growth, but I didn't find any swelling and pain.. n m not sure it's bone bc it's moving along with the closing and opening movement of my hand.. what should I do?? It's bc of some trauma which I didn't feel during my procedures or it's bone growth??
It looks like ganglion! If painful and increasing in size it needs injection steroid or excision
Most probably a
dorsal ganglion but can be confirmed only by examination by an orthopaedic surgeon
clinical examination is required in order to correctly diagnosing although movement with the hand motion shows it might be ganglion. is it painful?
Avoid doing heavy work with this hand because it resolves it self some time... If painful then can be aspirated with needle
may be a ganglion , or may be some dislocation..if it happened during some procedure.. You should try some traction if there is no swelling..
it may be helpful.
might be a ganglion or bone dislocation...visit a physiotherapist and try traction if no swelling and pain present
it's a ganglion. get examination and X-RAY.

most of them resolve. only need treatment if causing pain or trouble in using your hand for work

salamz sister. it seems you having ganglion. it feels like a bony swelling but it is basically a soft tissue swelling coming from back your wrist joint commonly. it's not necessarily due to trauma, but trauma may agrravate it. if it's painless then no treatment required but in your case it needs treatment after having an x ray. we have many options to treat it. will be discussed later on after x ray.
