My mother is experiencing severe pain on the top side of both knees. The doctor diagnosed it as being caused by the depletion of joint fluid. Despite currently taking medication, she is still in a lot of pain. The doctor has discussed other treatment options, including surgery and injections. salam, she might have advanced osteoarthritis of knee joint. she needs to examined before final plan of treatment, however if symptoms doesn't relieve with painkillers and life quality is compromised then total knee replacement is best option.
